CyberShield is an exciting Capture the Flag competition designed for high schoolers to hone their technical skills in a hands-on cybersecurity environment.
Participants will dive into a series of challenging tasks, including Linux commands, binary disassembly, cryptology, packet capture analysis, and more. The event will take place on April 12th from 10 AM to 4:30 PM at the Griffin Hall Digitorium.
Whether you're new to cybersecurity or looking to level up your skills, CyberShield offers a unique, immersive experience with expert guidance and the chance to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges. CyberShield is FREE for all students.
This competition is intended for high schoolers to get hands-on experience with cybersecurity.
All experience levels are welcome.
For each challenge in a Capture the Flag competition, your goal is to obtain the "flag", which proves you understood the topic being challenged.
Check out the practice for some examples.
There are a variety of challenges at different levels of difficulty.
Some are easy. Some are pretty difficult.
However, it's not bad if you struggle with the challenges!
Our goal is to help you identify interesting topics you may want to learn more about.
Yes! Lunch will be provided. Please indicate any dietary restrictions in the sign-up form.
Teams can have up to 4 members.
Teams will be created on the day of the event.
If you are looking for a team, please indicate this on the sign-up form.
Students may be dropped off in the circle by Griffin Hall.
You may also park in the Kenton Drive Garage for free!

Laptops with Kali VMs will be provided for the competition.
